Acceptable Use Policy.

What you can and cannot do with Breqwatr services.

Breqwatr does not restrict lawful content. What matters is that your activity is legal, and that it does not harm other users, our network, or third parties.

This policy forms part of your agreement with Breqwatr. The following are violations of it.

1. Illegal use

Using the Services for illegal purposes, or in support of illegal activities. Breqwatr will cooperate with law enforcement and with injured third parties in investigating suspected criminal or civil wrongdoing.

2. Harm to minors

Using the Services to harm a minor in any way, or to transmit, distribute, download, copy, cache, host, or store child pornography as defined by Canadian law.

3. Threats and harassment

Using the Services to transmit material that threatens or encourages bodily harm or destruction of property, or that harasses another person.

4. Fraud, forgery, and impersonation

Using the Services to make fraudulent offers to buy or sell, to run financial scams such as pyramid schemes or chain letters, or to make any knowing misrepresentation intended to be acted on.

Adding, removing, or modifying identifying network or message header information to deceive or mislead, or impersonating another person using forged headers or other identifying information. Using a pseudonym or an anonymous remailer is not impersonation.

5. Email and messaging abuse

Sending unsolicited commercial or bulk email through the Services.

Hosting or supporting services for spammers, or operating in a way that causes Breqwatr address space to be listed in a spam blocklist. Where this happens, Breqwatr may require evidence that the offending material has been removed before restoring service.

Interfering with another person’s use of email or messaging services, including mail bombing.

6. Security

Accessing or attempting to access the accounts of others, or penetrating or attempting to penetrate the security measures of Breqwatr or of any other person’s systems, whether or not the attempt results in loss or corruption of data.

Scanning or probing the systems of third parties without their permission.

7. Network and resource abuse

Any activity that impairs the ability of others to use the Services or the Internet, including denial of service and distributed denial of service attacks.

Operating open mail relays, open DNS resolvers, or any other service usable for traffic amplification. Breqwatr will suspend these immediately on discovery.

Cryptocurrency mining, and any other activity whose resource consumption degrades the Services for other customers, except where Breqwatr has agreed to it in writing.

Using IP addresses that Breqwatr has not assigned to you.

It is your responsibility to configure your systems securely. You may not, by action or inaction, allow a third party to use your resources for any of the above.

8. Malicious software and infrastructure

Intentionally distributing software that damages or disrupts systems or data.

Hosting phishing sites, malware distribution points, or command-and-control infrastructure for malicious software.

9. Intellectual property

Using the Services to transmit material that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary right, including unauthorized copying or distribution of copyrighted works or software.

10. Personal data

Collecting or attempting to collect personal information about third parties without their knowledge or consent.

11. Gambling

Using the Services for, or to promote, gambling that is prohibited or restricted under applicable law.

12. Responsibility for your account

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account, including by your users, customers, and any third party you give access to.

13. Reporting abuse

Report suspected violations of this policy to abuse@breqwatr.com. Include enough detail to identify the activity, such as IP addresses, timestamps with time zone, and relevant logs or message headers.

14. Consequences

Breqwatr may suspend or terminate the Services for a violation of this policy. Suspension and termination follow the process in the Terms of Service, which sets out the notice you will receive and your opportunity to resolve the problem, except where immediate action is needed to contain a security, operational, or legal risk.
