Vision & Mission
Clouds are hard, but they don’t have to be.
Breqwatr designs simple, user-centric infrastructure for organizations who believe cloud computing should be about choice and interoperability without complexity or compromise.
This idea took root back in 2011.
At that time, we (Hyper Technologies) were deploying Microsoft private clouds for some of Canada’s largest enterprises.
We already knew how difficult it was to deploy private cloud, that is why they called us in the first place. What we did not know at the time was why many of our deployments were slow to adopt after we had left the building.
No one gets self-service right.
Most software publishers are guilty of designing dashboards with lots of bells and whistles that do more to distract and intimidate then anything else.
We wanted to change that.
In 2012 we set out to hide this complexity underneath a user-friendly custom self-service portal. After just our first deployment, things immediately changed. The adoption curve skyrocketed.
By the middle of 2012 we had more projects lined up then we could deliver.
Our next thought was about why couldn’t we simply put private cloud in a box and avoid the further complexity associated with professional services delivery, custom automation and hardware procurement.
Over the next 2 years we tried many things and finally got it right. Breqwatr was born in August 2014.
